Easter is Only the Beginning
Jesus was condemned by the religious elite, killed, and buried in a tomb. Three days later, he walked out of his grave and as a result the world changed forever. But that's not the end of the story. The story continues with you.
Whether you've heard the Easter story dozens of times or not at all, we hope you'll join us to meet Jesus wherever you are: filled with sorrow or grief, working through doubt, or celebrating in his resurrection.
I Am Interactive Experience
Apr. 18 + 19 // Times Vary (at the Hudson Campus)
Join us for an interactive art experience during Holy Week where you will use all of your senses to reflect on and experience Jesus’ “I Am” statements in a new way.
Where do I go when I arrive?
If the church lot is full, head to the overflow parking at the Akron Women’s City Club/Coach House theater right next door. Once you’re inside, someone on our hospitality team can help you find the Sanctuary, restrooms and kids area. If you need anything else or have a question, just stop at the Welcome Center!
How long is the service?
Our services last about 70 minutes. There will be a lot of music! You may sing if you like, hum along or just listen: your call! We will have two mini-messages instead of a longer one. This will help keep the service moving and fresh since the little ones are with us.
What should I wear?
Preferably clothes! Beyond that, it’s up to you. Some of us will be decked out and others in shorts (weather permitting). How you dress is up to you.
What if I have kids?
We love babies! There’s a great team of caring, background-checked volunteers to play with and cuddle your little ones (birth through pre-K) downstairs in the KidZone, but if you’d rather keep your baby with you, that’s just fine! Whatever you are comfortable with is great with us. We want parents to have a break if they need one!
Normally, while you’re in service, your kids in fifth grade and younger will learn about Jesus on their level through games, live acting and tons of fun in our KidZone! But on Easter Sunday they’ll join us for a family-friendly service. Those in pre-K and younger are welcome in the KidZone downstairs.
Can I attend if I’m ________?
Fill in the blank with whatever fear you have about not being accepted: divorced, single parent, broke, recovering addict, gay, transgender, atheist, skeptic, etc. Everyone is welcome at Christ Community Chapel. So come as you are, and we’ll see you at Easter!
